The New Age
04/24/15
This is a reflection on a pocket park in my community. I was particularly inspired the the pattern of rocks on the left hand side set of pictures. Instantly, I wanted to incorporate a sort of "river of rocks" sort of element into my design to show that a barren desert landscape can withhold beauty too. What was also interesting is the fact that the entrances of the park were located nearer to sectors of the houses instead of the busy streets near most of the intersecting sidewalks. It's quite astounding how the layout of a park can depict its own audience through subtle modifications. What also caught my eye was the different watering features the pocket park had. There were regular sprinklers throughout the entirety of the park instead of incorporating irrigation systems, like the drip technique, in such a dry environment.

Wonderful representation and views of different aspects of the park. Can easily see what elements of a park you admire and will probably integrate into your project.
