It is an absolute necessity to understand how the sun conforms to your site. With knowledge of the sun mainly hitting the southern portion of the site I can plan in advance when planting foliage and greenery. Whilst looking at the sun path study it seems fit that the main busy space or interactive place should be near the center of the site since that amount of sunlight on that region hardly changes. The amount of sunlight on the site is only affected near its borders so possibly I can incorporate areas of shade and areas of openness to provide diversity in the changing seasons. What I mean is that I don’t want the entire southern portion of the site to be engulfed by shade, although it would be nice in the summer, because during the other seasons a bit of sunlight might provide for delightful views or comfortable temperatures in different areas. Basically, I want a diversified site to accommodate for the southern influx of sunlight, but still account for the climate throughout the whole year.
