Pocket Park 2015

And now a scheme I am most passionately enthusiastic about, the concept of surreal design. In this drawing I've addressed the possibility of redesigning the recreational zone in a way that it is surreal relative to children. I am making the reasonable assumption that most of the younger visitors, usually twelve and under, are short compared to older teenagers and adults. When juxtaposed next to children, the recreational structures should appear to tower over its occupants. The purpose behind my desire to create obstacles that look tall by nature, is to further prescribe a feeling of escape within those who interact with the park. It is important to note that in my attempt to develop a unique design that advocates transcendence, I will not compromise nor breach any of the park standards I plan on adhering to that have been brought to light earlier. The aspects of safety-awareness and enticing design will coalesce forming an outlier of a park.
