Depicted above is the shade structure that I plan to have in my pocket park. I based the design off of flowers that I saw at a local park a few months ago. The flowers in the picture above are not exactly the same but it inspired me to design the shade structure in a way that looks like star shaped flowers. In the center of the structure this is about an eight inch wide hole so that water can drain off of the top of it. When the water drains It will create a waterfall that will fall into a pond that is below it. This feature will provide a natural waterfall like feature when ever it rains while still providing shade and protection from its guests.

Very interesting concept, though I think it would be appropriate to give a little more information as to what material the shading structure would be made out.

This is a very creative, distinctive idea. I like how you took inspiration from the flower, and developed it into something useful, the shade structure, and even considered how the water would run off of it.
