Here is a larger image of the pathway that leads to the Urban Farm. Here you can better see the partition walls that separate the bike path and pocket park, also urban farm from the rest of the park. These serve several purposes, the first of which creates a sense of separation of different elements of the park and makes the urban farm feel as if it is its own entity. Secondly the partition walls help reflect the noise pollution of the interstate creating a more peaceful and quite park. Thirdly the partition walls and why i fell these are most important to this design is that the walls help block the strong winds that come from the south of Las Vegas. In Las Vegas we often times have strong wind storms that can cause damage. These partition walls will give protection to passing pedestrians or community members and at equal importance protect eh native plants from harsh winds and anything that could harm the plants.
