Here is a larger image that shows the simple yet interesting shading structure and amphitheater. This area was created with community interaction in mind. This is an area where members of the community can hold gathering or meeting which will help improve the community and results in happier community member.

Adaptive Reuse

I like that you put a lot of consideration in adding shaded areas for your park. It's especially important in Las Vegas with the amount of heat and sunlight the area receives.

Thank you. Since Las Vegas has such harsh sunlight it is important to provide shade if it is from trees or a structure. I also did not want to create the same old shade structure that you see in every other park. Therefore, I experimented with different shapes and forms to create something fresh - not only does it provide shade but is an interesting element such as a sculpture.
