Great sketch! Would love to see more like this! Help us understand why you made the design choices you made for the layout of the park and the objects. For example, I noticed fountains have appeared in your final design and were in your collect information step, but aren't discussed in your brainstorm. Tell us about all the decisions you're thinking through!

Great job!

Elword. Nice job on this park park project. I enjoyed reviewing your work and seeing how your ideas developed throughout. Your writing in the Overview and your investigation into neighborhood demographics (in the Collect Info phase) shows that you're thinking about who the park should be for and what types of features it should include. I would have liked to see a few more images of the surrounding neighborhood, however, and ideally photos that were your own, taken on site. Your use of the Las Vegas sign as an inspiration is clever and subtle - not over the top, as would have been easy to do. Kudos on that.
.
Your Final Design shows you're thinking about a lot of the issues you first investigated - which is great. But it would have been useful to see how the park fit into the neighborhood/intersection. A few more days spent on the digital model, building out a little bit of the surrounding buildings would help us see the context of your design.
.
Overall, nice work!

The floor-plan of the park looks very nice! I like how you provided shade and include most elements from a normal park to a pocket park. The recreational area looks very unique as well.

I think the slide should be lower in height and much safer for the swings. Or maybe, you just have scaled the picture of the kids too small when you were photoshoping them.

I like that you have a mix of both open spaces and areas populated with foliage. As for the shade structures, I personally would not have the hole in the roof of the shade structures so that it could shelter the space from rain. Aside from that, great job!

Really unique playground design, but as stated above, it needs a shade structure to protect it from the sun and keep it from heating up. The swings also look like they are a bit too cluttered together, which could lead to problems.

This park was designed in a great way and I especially like the symmetry of it! The only complaint I would have is having too much concrete involved, I mean there's no issue with having man-made structures at all, but I feel as though too much of it would take away from the natural aspect of the park, unless you were trying to achieve something else.

I really like the layout of this space, it creates a location that is intimate, yet open to the public a task that can be very daunting.

I would definitely consider putting in paths in the open area for people to ride their bikes or as an exercise space.

I like the design of your shade structure but I believe that the hole in the top of a it is a little too large. Also having shingles on the bottom of the structure might not be the best design. It is nice to add in people as a use of scale but the shadows are a "little" off.
