I think the Desert Willow is a wonderful idea for a park. It's color will be more inviting to people and it can withstand the Vegas heat.

Very appealing, intricate design with a great use of green space, could have more drinking fountains though

Excellent choice of tree selections. Las Vegas's weather makes it difficult for plants to survive long enough. However, some trees can be effective in desert and dry areas.

Very creative design of the curved shaped roofs. It gives a very different feeling to the picnic areas..

Curved walkways are great for people to meander through slowly with vegetation in between. The seating along vegetation is a good way to grab interest in people.

I am glad you have found a solution to reduce water use by using a drip irrigation system.

Good points! Biophilia does increase productivity and helps lower stress and anxiety due to everyday business and environments we deal with. Trees help with the micro-climate of your site by providing shade to areas where there is too much sun. Although deciduous trees do help provide shade and block views, they are not so beneficial in blocking wind. If you would like to block or minimize wind, use coniferous trees such as evergreens.

Hello, I am an American architect living in Madrid, Spain and am one of the jury members for the first round of this year's competition.
You did a good job collecting information, identifying specific existing problems, and communicating how you would solve with your design proposal. You displayed consistency of concept throughout your design process. I appreciated the variety of technical skills you experimented with and displayed during the different phases.
I hope you keep developing your technical skills, so that you can include more details and communicate a higher level of sophitication with your design proposal. Do not be afraid to explore more alternatives during the brainstorming phase, and evolve the concepts further during design development.
Nice job and thanks for sharing your work! I hope you had fun on this project and continue to use your problem solving skills, possibly in an architecture related career.
