The fountain is a nice focal point to draw people in. Consider providing some seating within the arched area for people to stop and enjoy the fountain.

Nice job, great variety of color and textures. Also a nice blend of open and shaded spaces. Some additional pathways through the vegetative areas would help create different experiences within the park.

Good concept, the plan engages the corner lot, and provides a focal point (sculpture) to draw people in.

Often times pocket parks are solutions in municipalities for lots which are either derelict or abandoned. The objective of taking an underutilized space and potential liability and transforming it to a useful public space with little expenditure upfront and in the future usually takes precedence. Creating a solution which not only adds to its environment, but can do so with less overhead is a municipality's primary goal and unfortunately this usually wins out over thoughtful design like yours. In refining this design I would focus on simplifying areas, using elements which require less upkeep and segregating the play space from traffic areas.

Fantastic flow throughout the park with this layout. Better utilization of the corner lot is apparent and creates a more open and inviting space for residents to use. Elements of the park could perhaps be served better with more separation from the road and sidewalk.

Great mock-ups with clear ideas and a solid direction of what you're working towards.

With a corner lot, make sure to take advantage of both sides of road frontage. That should be reflected in the layout as well; you wouldn't want a playground or a table area to be adjacent to a traffic area.

Your design process was well thought out and very vivid. It truly does help me, as I am more of a visual thinker. Very beautifully drawn and well done!

This is a really good design. I like the seating you implemented around the trees, as it allows the vegetation to act both as seating and for shade. There is also a good balance between structures and vegetation. Good job!

I like your choice of vegetation, as it really compliments your park's facade and color scheme. Smart placement of tables as well, as they would cater to both those who have children with them and those who do not. The only thing I would have liked to see is more aspects of universal design, like possibly more pathways besides the one that goes from the entrance and through the planters for the sake of easing traffic on the grass as well. Overall, great job!
