Thank you for the input Ivsa1841! To denote my design as a mere revitalization is purely inaccurate, since I'm presuming you didn't invest much time into examining my complete site. In the Collected Info phase, I took the time to indicate all of the pre-existing flaws that hindered the previously established park. I didn't necessarily bring new life into an "old" park, I completely modified it to meet new provisions set by moi. To dismiss my design as pointless, is too a very shallow analysis, even for a competition. I believe, if memory serves me right, readjustment of an already existing park is welcomed. And besides developing a submission just for the sake of entering, how about designing a site for the sake of designing? Of embracing the artistic, pragmatic aspects of composing a good design? Far from pointless, I must say. Thank you Ivsa1841, I appreciate the feedback.

Awesome design. I really like how you added as much shade as possible to areas with seating.

It seems to me that if there is already a park in your proposed area, it seems rather pointless to propose a new one (even just for a contest) over the top of the old. Rather than creating your own pocket park it almost is a revitalization of an old one. Other than that, good ideas.

I appreciate the input TheWhitbeckExperience and twoflips! Granted the lot I used for my submission already had a pre-existing design, this made it especially hard and time-consuming to represent in my model. As for the incorporation, I felt universal design was a must considering how there are multiple zones at play. To be able to juxtapose which zones are which, the seating and the recreational, I believe would help contribute to the park's overall flow. The vegetation also played a key role in my design, helping draw in more visitors and give back to nature.

Thanks dlichauco! By differentiating the zones in light of their respective designs, I aimed to design the play zone in a more unique fashion than the seating, as well as help children determine that you play in the recreation zone and rest in the seating zone. This protects those who remain dormant in the seating zone.

I appreciate your feedback liahbean. While studying things I should oversee when designing my park during the Collected Info phase, I learned it is important to consider parents and how their children's safety is among their most important priorities.

Thank you D Crispy! I wanted to experiment with different manipulations of the park, and examine what each individual layout would provide. By scrutinizing differing layout schemes, I realized how important it is to pre-conceptualize a site, rather than simply imagine a design and instantly build it.

Wow, great job on the model! I like how the zones are distinct from one another but the overall design still looks pretty complete.

It's great that you were able to thoroughly consider the needs to be addressed in an area where young children will occupy. The space is interactive for children while allowing parents to watch over their child.

I liked how you included several interpretations for your park. The way you played with the pathways, structures, and vegetation worked really well in all of them.
