Summary

At first we collected information by examining the orginal design of a locker here at Butler. We measured the width of the locker on the inside and the height on the inside to see how we could make improvements with what we already have. We than thought of some problems with the original locker desgin and brainstormed areas of improvement that could be made along side with futureistic ideas that will be added to the final design of the new locker. The problem that we identified with the orginal locker design was that each locker is a little to small to fit a most students needs. For example some students have to carry around 3-4 text books dailey and dont have enough room too store them in their locker so they just walk around all day with the heavy weight on there back because of lack of storage in the school lockers. Which drives us to create a locker design that is a lot larger in size and while we are at it a lot more advanced as well. With ideas of adding in an outlet for electricity to adding a fingerprint scanner to open the locker, Lockers have to make some improvements to fit the needs/wants of the students using them.
