Since the beginning of the school year, I noticed a larger population of cyclist at Curie, or maybe I didn't notice them until I started riding my bike to school myself. It started with about 10 bikes chained up to posts behind the school. Now I have to come earlier so I can find a spot. Bad enough as it is, the security guards only let us park our bikes behind the school. This gives us a long walk to the main entrance, making us, eco-friendly students, late to our first class.
Now there is more than 30 bikes, behind the school, chained up to trees, signs, posts, and other places they're not supposed to be chained on.
My goal is to create a bike shelter that is closer to the entrance, and will provide proper security to our student's bikes. This will also benefit the community by providing etiquette bike parking for everyone in the area.
