Lukas-
All I can say is wow. This is a great design solution!

You've done a very thorough job of working through each step, studying the site, program, building technologies, and your design ideas to develop a well thought-out solution. Some excellent drawings throughout, which help to show your thought process (especially the section-axon).

In many ways this is a perfect example of the power of architecture, because first- you create a really special, architectural space, and then after skinning it with glass, you add the horizontal fins- which I think gives your design a really nice touch- a perfect balance of the yin-yang of architectural thinking (the creative vs. the technical).

Congrats on a beautiful project.

Thank you! The overall concept is to separate the public/open spaces and the private spaces by changing the roof heights. The design of the organic roof is based off of shading for the curtain system so it allows light to come in but not heat. It blocks contact from the mid-day sun where it emits the most heat but it allows light to enter through the sides.

Your facade looks great! What was the inspiration/concept behind it?
