Summary
Keep bed, night stands and lamps in same position (not much room to make changes). Remove chest and place a thinner TV stand or just mount the TV on the wall. Then get better decorations such as portraits of things that relate to what I'm interested in, then replace linens with newer and more lively colors. I will primarily be keeping the room the same except with changing some furniture and adding decorations.
