Thanks for all your work to create a strong and thoughtful design scheme. It was easy to see the connection between your overview/concept phase and the final design. I would encourage you to dig a bit deeper into the possibilities that vegetation, grade change (topography), and seating can bring to your space. Your design aims to bring people together around food commerce - consider ways they can spend time together through added seating, etc. While I know you didn't want to focus on children as your key audience are there ways you could engage them in the space without typical "play structures" etc. Great work!

Do you worry the trellis would interfere with the sunlight for the greenhouse?

Fantastic layout. A little diversification in terms of park use would create a space those not interesting in just gardening could appreciate and utilize as well. As for the lack of trees, the primary objective of your space is for growing food; I wouldn't worry too much about implementing foliage that blocks sunlight but rather focus on natural barriers and borders.

Great design but keep in mind the costs and upkeep of facilities like these. Simplicity should be forefront in developments like pocket parks, which are often solutions for derelict parcels of land. Municipalities often are looking to eliminate liability and create usable space with small budgets.

Make sure to include orientation in all designs so the viewer can see how your renderings fit into the space.

Fences are always a bit of an Achilles heel for parks like these. Smaller parks are meant to be connected to the community, which fences only hinder yet they're a necessity for safety and security reasons. This design would provide the functionality of the fence, while providing a transcendent barrier.

This is a fantastic survey of the site! The explanation of the site and it's zoning and surround use is important when exploring design and ideas for a park like this.

Thank you so much! The green house would really give the community the chance to continue gardening in the winter months. During these months, most people stop gardening and get out of the routine of eating healthily. However, the availability of a green house will encourage continued health-conscious choices.

Thank you for the helpful suggestions! I agree that having trees would help add to the aesthetics of the park. If you look in the previous step, in my layout, I have several trees located around the park. Most of them would be around the walkway, creating a shaded tunnel effect. I appreciate your positive comments about the concept of my design and the wire trellis, as well.

You really stuck to the environmentally friendly aspects and it turned out really great! The thought put into everything and how much you care about this is very evident. The only remark I have about your park is that the bathrooms should be a bit larger, if a lot of people do end up visiting this park more than one should be able to go at a time; don't worry too much about the gardening space there will still be more than enough.
