Site Description: The site of the reconstruction of the library will be Brooklyn Technical High School in Brooklyn, New York in the center section of the fifth floor. The total space available is 50’ x 45’
Job Description: The job is to redesign your high school library and re-analyze how your school’s library could function as with the newest technological advances and new study techniques. Design to make your school library more efficient and comforting for the students learning instead of only storing and cataloging books. You are to redesign the interior of the already existing library space in your school. You are to expand and add to meet the needs of your design. Your design is to contain all the spaces, services, and equipment required for a typical school library, this includes a variety of seating options for students, as well as book and media storage, space for at least two librarians, computer areas and meeting spaces. You are to also consider sustainability issues and the environmental impact of your design. Design Green.
