2013 national competition project | Library Redesign #021
|As of now, the library is divided and unorganized. The computer area is currently split into two sections, resulting in wasted space. A row of computers runs along the outer windowed wall, while others are grouped together in a separate section. The work tables are spread out in the center of the library and feel cramped during the library’s busy hours. Currently, the lounge area is small, consisting of some bean bags, a sofa, and a table. I would like to increase the size of the lounge area to accommodate study groups that often work in the library. The computer lab, a separate room within the library, has rows of computers with a single isle that runs along the left side. During lessons and presentations in this room, it is difficult to hold the entire audience’s attention, which can make learning a chore.
