Redesign your school library | 2013 National High School Architecture Competition #381
|The Lane Tech High School library is an available resource for all of the students and staff in the building. The school contains approximately over 4,000 students and 300 staff members. The library is open for students in the morning during their zero periods, lunch periods throughout the day and usually for another extra period at the end of the school day. Teachers also tend to reserve the library to bring in classes for research. Most of the time students who are going into the library are going in there to utilize the computers that are available there for research or for printing purposes. The idea is to recreate the library into a more technological friendly area that will accommodate easier access to resources for students and teachers, as well as being a well, proportional design to fit the amount of people entering while also maintaining and preserving the antiquity of the library.

are you going to modernize the library at all or are you going to preserve some of the features that already exist in the design ?
I definitely want to add a modern look to the library but I want to conserve certain aspects that make our Lane Tech library so unique and what it is today.
