"Students Say Locker Size Is Cramping Their Style." Washington Post. The Washington Post, 2007. Web. 22 Mar. 2016. This article was about a school in Montgomery County, which has lockers that are much smaller than the standard 12’ by 12’ lockers that they are supposed to have. This has led many students to complain about how much they have to put into their lockers that haven’t evolved basically since their grandparents went to middle school. Nationwide, lockers are typically one to two feet wide and five to six feet high, but locker dimensions vary per region. And locker manufacturers haven’t changed their lockers in any drastic ways for years now, yet the amount students have to carry is increasing a lot. Jenny. "School Problems." : Jenny: Locker Space. Web. 22 Mar. 2016. This article is written from the perspective of a student who is writing about her personal experience with lockers at her school, specifically whether or not lockers are too small, or if students are taking unnecessary items to school. In fact, the main reason that student lockers are so small is partially so that students can’t bring their entire wardrobe, and partially so that a student could not fit inside and hurt themselves.
