Discover Design: School Locker

Summary

I went out into the hallway and took measurements of the hall length and width wise, then I measured the length of the lockers (there is a top row and a bottom row). Next, I measured the total height of the lockers and each locker seperately (half the total height). I opened the locker and took its inside measurements and found the volume of each locker. I did a quick sketch of a whole row of lockers (top and bottom row) and labled it with the appropriate measurements, then I took measurements of my bookbag and other things that I would put in my locker. I went on the computer and read an article about some of the complaints that students had about their lockers (such as not being able to put a heavy winter coat in a locker because it took too much space). I took note of this and looked at different types of lockers currently made and took note of what designs I liked or disliked.
