Summary

In my design I'll focus on the two major problems the current cafeteria has; eating and storage space. Previously I had considered a second floor be added to the cafeteria, but that would turn out to be too much of a hassle. Not only would it make construction take longer (we only have the summer not to interrupt the school's operation). But taking measurements of the courtyard made me realize how much spare space there was. I decided I would make an extension to the current lunch room, but leave the main hall intact. Because the width of the courtyard extends past the lunch room, that gives me the space I need to add a storage room.

To accommodate for the expected growth of the student body in the future, I've decided to add another lunch line to the main cafeteria.
