Right after I planned the design of the container house, the adequate place to place your home is in a place where is less habituated such as farmland or more privately in a forest or mountainous area. I wouldn't recommend living in a dense city like NY or other type of metropolitan area because chances are is you might have problems in there, such as burglary, lack of space in the city, more taxes (you pay more than living in the suburbs or country part??? To place your container house in an adequate place, should be situated in a quiet area of street because you wouldn't be able to rest or be comfortable to stay.
