Summary

I collected information about Pocket Parks by researching specific parks in the Las Vegas area. One park that caught my eye was Turtle Park. Located in the Summerlin area, Turtle Park has many features despite its size being no larger than a standard classroom. It has a large tree that provides an incredible amount of shade, a pair of swing sets, a small seating area, and a very long hiking trail. Another pocket park that involves more elements would be Heritage Park. Heritage Park includes a full playground with a large seating area, picnic table, benches, and walking trails. I then studied how all of these elements were placed in such a small area and were able to have the illusion of being bigger than it actually was.
