Westlake Pocket Park
Summary
My final design offers nearby residents as well as shoppers and employees of Crocker Park a unique place to take a break from their busy lives. The pocket park that I designed provides plenty of seating in the form of benches and tables, giving users a great place to take a quick lunch break. Another advantage to my design is that it promotes a healthy life style to its users by providing a walking path and open green space to play games in. On the other hand my pocket park provides a place for kids to run around and use playground equipment. Lastly my design provides many other useful features such as bike racks, a fountain and a bus stop for the nearby residents of the park.

Adaptive Reuse
Architects often find creative ways to reuse old structures that are no longer in use. Check out how old rail lines were adapted to create New York's High Line and Chicago's 606.
