Summary

Our problem is that our school is insufficient and needs to be updated. Not only is the building's foundation old itself, but also its color scheme and utilities. The space is not large enough either to hold as many students as it currently has. With the way the administration limits students' uses of facilities, such as only opening one bathroom or closing spaces where students sit to eat, it makes the schools seem much more crowded. The school's layout does not flow either. Since we are not allowed to use the covered walkway to go to class, students must run across the school to get to class from one side of the building to another, causing them to be late to class. Another problem, is the lockers. Not all of the work correctly; they get stuck, are broken and cut their users, or just can't function as a locker. However, there are also too many lockers. In each hallway their are lockers against the wall. The excess amount allows student to leave trash in them, have several lockers, or hide drugs. Therefore, the staff had proceeded to lock the extra lockers, but by now, they are just a waste. Additionally, the parking lot just does not suffice. It must be expanded to hold the driving student body and staff, as well as parents and relatives during events at night. However, to make all of these changes, we need more land space. Currently, the schools is on an awkwardly shaped plot of land, for example: it curves in the front causing the hallways to also turn. We must change the land shape and spacing to make the school usable, along with leveling the land to make the hallways flow and not have too many stairwells.
