Summary

• Make a list of all the things you like about your current locker. Ask several friends for their opinions.
I like the hooks that you can hang your jacket on. I also like that you are able to fit books and binders perfectly into the locker. Many of my friends said they also like the hook, however, the things I heard were more negative than positive.
• Make a list of all the things you dislike about your current locker. Ask several friends for their opinions.
There are many things that I dislike. I dislike the lack of space in the lockers. I also dislike that you are not able to customize your locker. I also don’t like that it takes a while to unlock your locker. I don’t like that the lockers are very bland. There are no outstanding features, and nothing that would make me want to have a locker. My peers said that there was not enough space, and nothing special about their lockers.
• Think about your locker not just as a metal box, but as another type of container. What other types of containers do you use each day to store stuff? (Examples: containers for food, clothing, household items)
I use a lunchbox, a laundry bin, a backpack, a safe, a lock box, and a crate to hold all of the blankets in the house.
• Keep in mind that your newly-designed locker will be one of many along the hallway. How will these individual units all fit together? How will several students use their lockers at the same time without bumping into each other?
The lockers will come in units of 10 (5 on top, 5 on bottom) and will be still have the same type of door as a regular locker. Space will be tight, but it’s really the inside that counts.
