Modern High Schooler's Locker

Summary

My first thought was that lockers needed outlets so that students could securely charge devices between classes.
My second was that opening lockers and memorizing locks can be quite an ordeal, especially for younger kids and/or older lockers.
After reading the recommended article, I recalled the odd variety of locker sizes in my own school; the older wings have outrageously thin and tall ones while the updated areas have what I would presume to be slightly shorter than standard sized.
I live in a state that gets affected by snow for weeks after a snowfall and rains are fairly common, so the "Think About" section's suggestion to think about a place to store wet things was something I took note of. This brought me to security concerns administration would have about such a device, mostly in high schools where histories of substance possession by students may make the idea of a drain or grate undesirable.
Lockers should contribute something to the school experience and design, not just be stuck in begrudgingly as a mandatory service. The doors could potentially be multipurpose to achieve this end.
Lockers should be more sustainably produced; it doesn't seem green or particularly efficient to use all-metal lockers. There has to be some other material that leaves less of an impact on the environment.
Finally, I believe that lockers should be based around a concept of the modular, so shelving would be lightweight and easy to rearrange in order to assure that students could customize their locker to suit their needs, even changing it by the day.
