This is a diagram of what a Low-E (low-emissivity) triple pane window looks like. To solve the issues with heating and cooling I will be incorporating Low-E windows into my design. These windows offer to keep the heat in during the winter as well as deflect it during the summer (works vice versa during the winter months). Low-E coatings on windows have been proven to save up to 50% of energy and due to it being a triple pane, the coating will be applied to the inside panes for durability. In between the panes of glass are commonly Argon or Krypton gases which are more resistant to the heat flow than air is which makes this window one of the most energy efficient.
