2013 national competition project | Library Redesign #078

05/12/13
This is the final design of the library. In the corner closest to you, you can see a cafe. The middle consists of a work area (3 long group tables) and the two sides consist of a computer station and a reading area. In the long corridor are two meeting rooms and a storage room.

Hello, I am an architect living in Madrid, Spain and I am part of the 2013 competition jury.

I see that your focus was on the furniture, and I enjoy seeing the process screens shots of how you built the 3d models, but the development of the layout of the library space itself is lacking, or at least no evidence is shared in the Develop Solutions phase.

I appreciate the digital model you constructed for the Final Design phase, though not all of the views are that helpful in understanding your design. Labels on the aerial view of the spaces would be helpful, and perspective views taken lower, could help give a better sense of what it would be like to be in the space.

Great consistent work throughout the design process, keep up the good work and keep developing your skills as a designer. Do not be afraid to try sketching ideas by hand too.
