This is a picture of the main room on the right side of the library (made with Google Sketchup). This image is a good representation of the rest of the library because it combines various themes of the library in one room. In the back, there is a quiet contemplative place to study, while in the foreground, there is a long desk for individual study and rounded "pods" for group work and conversation. There is the traditional presence of books, yet it is not solely book-centric. Also found in this space are a few trees to try to bring the outdoors in. Because this space in underground, there is no available outdoor patio. However, the presence of the natural life in the space lifts the air of claustrophobia and incorporates the eco-friendly theme of the library. Along the wall to the right is a modern addition: the panel on the wall is one of various "tech stations" around the library to make the user's experience more comfortable.
