After a little research on green features of large buildings, I found that the most practical way to be cost efficient and environmentally friendly was to conserve water. Here I have sketched out 2 ways that this facility will be "green". The top refers to a sketch of the roof that has a slight dip in the center where water will flow. It flows over the stones on the roof, down towards the drain, and into pipes where the water can be stored and used for various water needs like sprinklers, or bathroom water. The second sketch is a dual flush toilet. Considering the number of people that this facility is designed to hold, water could definitely be conserved in this way. Both of these designs were eventually incorporated into my final design.
