Redesign Your School Athletic Pavilion | 2014 National High School Architecture Competition #208

This rendering is a view of the roof of the structure. The role light would play on my structure was one of my main priorities. because of this, I used the same idea of "cutting" into the structure and placing glass panels as I did on the sides to create windows, but the roof panels occupy a larger area that the sun path can follow so the inside of the structure will always be illuminated. This not only provided an aesthetic aspect, but also went along with the idea of sustainability since the constant flow of light would largely decrease the need for artificial lightning in most areas of the structure.
