The foyer gets very crowed when it rains and during fire drills the students are usually only allowed to exit the locker rooms from the two doors at the end of the railings.

Would a wider entrance or multiple entrances help move hundreds of students faster? Could the courtyard be covered with an elevated canopy to allow a shaded/ rainproof space to gather before and after games?
