After having talked to a landscape architect, he referred me to this particular pocket park located in NYC. The park design, location, and overall aesthetic make it a green gem in the grey solid mass that is New York City. I particularly enjoy the fact that the design doesn't just provide and area of recreation, but provides an area of sanctuary; one that is completely separate of that of the surrounding area. I hope to be able to incorporate a similar element to my design in the sense that I can provide and area unique to the area that not only accentuates it, but defines the community as a whole.
