This is a Japanese Pine Tree. After researching tree shapes, I found the silhouette of this tree to be the most fitting for my structure. In my 2-3 story high structure, a slanted trunk will produce a tolerable slope for the staircase. This is definitely better than the narrow and steep incline that would be created in a vertical trunk. The shrubs of the tree are also quite interesting. Because they are relatively isolated from each other and create distinct levels, these sections can be made into the rooms of the structure. With the staircase to link each the rooms, the private spaces can still become one social place. http://www.imgz.rocks/japanese-pine-tree/japanese-pine-tree-20150505013446-55481e366ec40-jpg/
