In sketch up I used google maps to replicate the surrounding neighborhood to get an idea of size/proportions and the current flow of the neighborhood. So i could incorporate existing flow into my design. After getting a feel for the surrounding neighborhood I was then able to create an effective flow for the three sections of the park - Market, Entertainment, and Garden.
