Here is a closer view of the park's plaza. A fellow student in my class suggested that I do a lighter central area with darker pathways going to and from there. I took his suggestion and I believe it gives my park design a twist.

Adaptive Reuse

Architects often find creative ways to reuse old structures that are no longer in use. Check out how old rail lines were adapted to create New York's High Line and Chicago's 606.

Comments

The park seems to provide most of the necessities of the people in the surrounding area. It would be beneficial to include shade structures in the park. Las Vegas summers can easily exceed 110 degrees in consecutive days and even weeks. Shade is definitely a necessity in any park in Las Vegas.
