Existing Features of a New York City Bus Shelter : 1. It has advertisements on one side of the shelter and they light up at night. 2. There is also a roof over the bus shelter to shield from rain and snow. 3. There is a three person bench and space beside it for potential wheelchair passengers. 4. There is transparent glass on three sides so it opens to face the curb. 5. Occasionally, for select bus services there are pay before boarding stations to maximize efficiency so passengers can simply get on buses with the receipt so people do not have to wait in a line to get in and pay. Overall, it's a simple design that doesn't take up too much space and serves to fulfill basic needs of a bus shelter.
