I am giving this cafeteria a modern/contemporary look. I want to use as much glass as possible without affecting energy consumption. I am designing this cafeteria to have many different purposes such as dances, meetings, movie-showings and many other school/after-school activities. I am adding a second floor near the southern wall to provide additional eating space including outdoor eating space.

Developing the cafeteria as a multi-purpose space is a terrific idea and might make it possible to include creative design features that would allow the space to be used for a wide variety of gatherings. Very good idea!
