I am an intern architect working in Chicago and serving on the 2013 jury. You have done a nice job developing your idea from the stacked book image and introducing the new criteria into the final design. It is great to see some process images and sketches and more can always help explain the final design. Maybe turn them into diagrams. When placing your balconies it would be great if you looked at using them for things like natural shading and lighting. It would also be great to see the existing school in the plans and or renderings to help give the new space context. It's hard to imagine a tower of several stories if the existing school is only one story. It was great to see that you took the time to render several interior spaces to help describe the new areas.

You have taken some nice photos with good descriptions to help us picture the space. To help someone not familiar with the school it would be great to see a current floor plan. Maybe add the pictures to the plan to create a descriptive diagram.

Students also feel that it is a very open place to work, where many distractions can occur.

The objective is to redesign my current school library into a modern library. Where libraries are not just about books, but are about maps, articles, computers, and much more. Where and how we find information has expanded and so should my library's space.
