I chose to design the field in such a way because the Mira Loma colors and the matador mascot in the middle of the field gives off a unique/vibrant feel of the school. Students can not only come to the field for athletic reasons, but also to receive inspiration and be open minded.

My biggest reason and inspiration for choosing this building and how its reflected in the digital rendering is the retractable roof. It serves as a shield for the rain and wind however on days with clear skies it can be opened as if to mimic playing on a field outside. It also serves as a source of sustainability and saves a lot of money because most of the time there is no need for the use of air conditioning.

I chose this picture for the interior because it allows many people to in the building and provides plenty of light.

People have to enter the gym at a sluggish rate, since the door can have a maximum of three people enter at a time. That is an issue while having 1600 people trying to enter. This can cause the event to start late due to the fact that not many people can enter/exit through the door. Our new stadium's doors will be able to fit 5 people easily through them.

First of all thank you for the helpful feedback, when we create our new building it will have four entrances, and they will be much larger. As for the natural light, we are going to incorporate a dome ceiling that can retract to allow lots of natural light to come inside. The dome shape will also allow foe the sound of the massive crows to be amplified at full volume making it a more enjoyable experience for everyone.

For lighting the lights must be on, because there is not enough natural light that can come in. There is no A/C or heating in the gym. About 6 classes daily, and 2 sports during their season.

The mural is nice, the size of the gym seems large, but what about the gym do people wish was different? Access? Does the box shape of the building erode the energy of the people coming to root for Mira Loma? Is there a design or shape that could capture that enthusiasm as if to bottle it inside the space for a few hours?

The gym looks dark. I would love to see if all the natural light outside could be used to light the interior. Maybe it could be sustainable? I don't think that the design of this building allows people to enter in bulk and project the playing space at the same time. People just don't enter single-file when energized to go to a game!
