The uniformity of the trees and plants create a nice place to relax. The space is wide and would be a great place to have a picnic. In addition the height of the planters would provide shade.

The park looks great, but maybe some more benches near the play park would be nice, so parents can better watch their children and not have to worry as much? also, a little more spacing on the trees would be great.
