Redesign Your School Athletic Pavilion | 2014 National High School Architecture Competition #195

Summary

My final design process was primarily just adding materials to my previous model. I chose poured cement for the majority of the building; which gives it a strong and sturdy look (which blends nicely with the surrounding area). I also chose bricks for the entrances and the sides of the structure, because the modular use of bricks helps bring out my concept of teamwork and being connected (tiny parts coming together to make something larger). The brick was also added because there is already a small brick entrance to a building in the area. This brick entrance seems so out of place so instead of removing it, I added to it with my structure.
My design completely fills my goals that I began this process with. My structure is a large building which links my school to its counterpart, while also providing students with a well organised sports facility.
