Redesign Your School Athletic Pavilion | 2014 National High School Architecture Competition #170

Summary

My Final Design has successfully integrated all of my ideas to ensure that the building satisfies both the student and teacher. The space problem was fairly easy as the main part of the gym which held the basketball court was increased so as to allow more space and more activities at one time. To be honest, many of the complaints were on the space given by the building and its limitations. This is because the current gym does not allow classes of 60 or more to completely utilize all the space as they are always cramped. This is also very apparent in the locker rooms and the weight room. Both of these rooms had a "steroid" added and now have increased space to accommodate for such large classes. Finally, the simple touch that was added was to make the locker rooms connected to the weight room and closer together for convenience.
