Redesign Your School Athletic Pavilion | 2014 National High School Architecture Competition #190

Summary

FINAL CONCEPT: RESPIRATORY SYSTEM

In today's society eating healthy and regular exercise has become less of a priority among people. A CNN study showed that, "Over one third of all adults and almost 17 percent of teenagers and children are obese." Obesity has become a common and costly matter that is affecting a large population of the U.S. and that also leads to several illnesses and can even cause respirator problems. This dilemma has inspired the concept of my athletic pavilion to be one of the most important aspects of the human body, the lungs. The shape of our respiratory system will inspire my design.
