Summary

This is an ecologically friendly means of construction which is made out of recycled materials and saves the creator the time and money of coming up with a new basic frame for a new house. Since there are millions of cargo containers all over the world, it they could be utilized as housing units that are cost efficient we wouldn’t have to trash them after they have become unusable for cargo shipments. Also, the steel frame of the cargo containers is a very durable material, making it a reliable choice as a primary house frame.

I have done some research into housing ideas and efficient uses of space. I researched some extreme ideas (such as Japanese capsule hotels and the "oil rig escape pod" hotels), but the general concept of trying to fit a lot into a small space comfortably is the same.

I also looked into other design ideas for cargo container houses, and the ways more than one container can be set up can vary. container homes can be created out of stacked containers and side by side containers that can be placed in a numerous amount of ways in relation to one another to create different room spaces or different ways of getting from one level to another if stacked (however, the spiral staircase seems to be one of the most efficient uses of space to getting to different levels in stacked container homes).
