Bridge Park
Summary
My final design for my park must address the safety of children/parents/citizens that will travel through the park. My decision to place an array of tall metal beams stems from my interest in woodland spaces and their inherent tie to the fictional side of fairytales. These spaces offer a sense of security for children but also for the population at large. These beams also play a vital role in warning the cars at the intersection of the park. Accidents can be avoided with these bold reminders. People can also travel up the bridge and rest throughout the majority of the bridge. Seats similar to the ones in the bottom sections of the bridge line the paths of the bridge.

Adaptive Reuse
Architects often find creative ways to reuse old structures that are no longer in use. Check out how old rail lines were adapted to create New York's High Line and Chicago's 606.
