One can see that in addition to the beams' shadows, the bridge also projects shadows. The projection of these shadows play a big role in the development of this park space. Although the amount of space that this pocket park can take remains limited, the power of these shadows offers it more ability to gain more of a command on the surrounding area.

I agree with tak8773 on your unique use of shadows to bring another perspective to your park, and your take on a 'whimsical' theme for your park is quite refreshing as well! My only concern is the safety of children within this park, but besides that, this is an awesome idea!
