Summary

A classroom is used for a singular purpose and has enough seating for approximately 40 students. However, the library, being 75 X 50 feet in area, is large enough to seat approximately 100 students and can be used for multiple purposes, including: studying, research, staff meetings, presentations by college representatives and military recruiters, book checkout, and a quiet place to read during breaks or open periods. While the library is an enjoyable place to be, we find that it quickly becomes crowded, and even more so during our lunch breaks, when most activities take place, and the library becomes very tumultuous.

The technology in the library is outdated and cannot offer needed computer applications. Based upon the requests of the current librarian, the library needs more storage space, a new server that provides enough bandwidth, and more room for community spaces.
