Summary

There will be many different energy sources to power the new library, that the school has never used before. First, we will use CF-L's or energy efficient light bulbs in order to save more energy and keep the building lit during community events. The floors will be made out of eucalyptus wood because it's more manageable and it gives the same appearance as a hardwood floor. For the roof, there are some flexible solar panels made out of silicone that can mold to any surface and can be used to power the lighting and the water pump for the koi pond. These panels will save a lot of energy and reduce carbon emissions. The building will count on a central a/c unit, and during the rainy season, there will be rainwater harvesting drums and pipes that will be used to water the plants. Each drum goes underground and can hold about 75 gallons of water. Rainwater harvesting drums are fairly easy to maintain.
